De-facto complainant and her counsel Smt. S.Vani are present. Accused and his counsel Smt. G.Rama Manoja are present.

Heard both sides.

On the complaint lodged by de-facto complainant the police of Central Crime Station PS registered FIR 511 of 2013 against the accused for the offences under Sections 406 IPC and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and investigation is stated to be pending.

Now, the submission of both sides is that at the intervention of elders both the parties have amicably resolved their disputes amicably and in fact, the de-facto complainant and accused have obtained divorce in O.P.No.951 of 2014 on 14.11.2014 on the file of Additional Family Court, City Civil Court, Hyderabad and sofaras the maintenance claim of de-facto complainant is concerned, accused already gave Rs.2 lakhs on the date of passing decree of divorce and the remaining balance amount of Rs.2 lakhs is paid today by way of Demand Draft No.709436 dated 13.10.2014 (revalidated for further three months on 14.11.2014) drawn on Syndicate Bank, M.J.Branch, Hyderabad (de-facto complainant admitted

receiving the DD). Thus, both the parties submitted that in view of compromise the proceedings in FIR 511 of 2013 of Central Crime Station PS, Hyderabad may be quashed. Having regard to the above said submission and considering the fact that it is a matrimonial matter and parties have amicably resolved their disputes and no useful purpose will be served if investigation is allowed to be continued and ultimately parties are driven to trial and following the decision reported in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab and another (2012) 10 SCC 303) petition is allowed compromise is recorded in terms of compromise petition filed herein and consequently the proceedings in FIR No.511 of 2013 of Central Crime Station PS, Hyderabad are hereby quashed.

In the result, both the petitions are accordingly allowed. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
