HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 2404 of 2004 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 2nd respondent in not considering the case of the petitioner for appointment as Driver on compassionate grounds pursuant to his representation dated 23.01.2004, as illegal and arbitrary.

While admitting the writ petition, this Court directed the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for appointment as Driver, vide orders dated 10.02.2004 in WPMP No.3172 of 2004. In view of the above, I am of the opinion that the writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, if not already considered, in accordance with law, within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed. No order as to costs. ______________________________ ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI, J 23rd November, 2018 cbs
