This Writ Petition is filed seeking the following relief: "to issue an appropriate Writ, Order or Directions more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, to declare the impugned Proceedings No.

C.R No 128/2017/P&Ex/A2 dt 16-05-2017 of the 2nd Respondent in not releasing the Petitioner's property i.e 3000 Kgs of Alum in 60 bags each bag containing 50 Kgs was allegedly involved in COR No 58/2017 dated 08-03-2017 of Prohibition and Excise Station, Aswaraopet Khammam District is illegal and violation of Article 21 of constitution of India and arbitrary and consequently set aside the Proceedings No C.R No 128/2017/P&Ex/A2 dt 16-05-2017 of the 2nd Respondent."

A perusal of the impugned order, dated 16.05.2017, shows that an appeal lies to the Commissioner, Prohibition and Excise, Telangana State, Hyderabad, within thirty (30) days and the said Commissioner is not made party to the present Writ Petition. 4.

Since there is an alternative remedy of appeal against the impugned order, this Court is not inclined to entertain the present Writ Petition and accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. It is open to the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
