ORDER
This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: "...to pass an order or orders more particularly one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus by declaring the inactions of the respondents in examine and consider the request of the petitioner's representations dated 10.10.1998 and 19.12.2002 with the grievance to provide compassionate appointment to the petitioner's family is arbitrary, unjust and unbearable and also against Articles 14 and 21 of Constitution of India and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in these circumstances of the case and also in the interest of justice."
Heard Sri G.Pavana Murthy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.
It is the case of the petitioner that her husband was appointed as a Watchman in the respondent-organization and while working as such, he expired on 23.07.1998. Hence, she submitted a representation to the respondents on 10.10.1998 and 19.12.2002 to consider her son's case for appointment on compassionate grounds. But, so far, no orders have been passed.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the respondents be directed to consider the
representations dated 10.10.1998 and 19.12.2002 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders.
Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submits that the respondents would consider the said representations dated 10.10.1998 and 19.12.2002 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon. Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representations dated 10.10.1998 and 19.12.2002 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
