The grievance of the petitioner in this case, who was granted a mining lease, was with regard to the actions of the mining authorities in connection therewith. However, it is noticed that the lease granted to the petitioner was for a period of two years ending on 31.03.2012.

In that view of the matter, the issues raised in this regard have been rendered purely academic and do not warrant consideration on merits. The writ petition is dismissed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
