IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT HYDERABAD
FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA AND THE STATE OF ANDHRA PRADESH HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE DILIP B. BHOSALE AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION No. 292 of 2012 Date: 20.06.2016 Between:
P.V.S.R. Anjaneyulu & others.
... Petitioners And The District Collector, Prakasam District, Ongole, & others.
... Respondents
HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE DILIP B. BHOSALE AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO PUBLIC INTEREST LITIGATION No. 292 of 2012 PC: (per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale) This petition was filed in 2012. No interim order was passed at any point of time. The petitioners sought direction to the respondents to widen the existing NAM road at Addanki. Sri J. Janaki Rami Reddy, learned counsel for respondent No.5, submits that road has already been widened from two lanes to four lanes and nothing survives in the public interest litigation. That seems to be the reason why no efforts were made by the petitioners or their advocate to take this matter before Court for urgent orders. Today, Sri E. Satyanarayana, learned counsel holding for Sri M.S.N.
Prasad, advocate on record for the petitioners, does not have any instructions and he simply seeks adjournment. We are not inclined to grant adjournment. Public interest litigation is dismissed for non-prosecution with liberty to learned counsel for the petitioners to apply for its restoration, if the cause survives, within a period of ten days from today.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed.
