WRIT PETITION No.35786, 35795 & 35805 of 2015 COMMON ORDER:
The petitioners are Field Assistants. They are aggrieved by the orders of the Project Director, District Water Management Society, Prakasam District, removing them from service as Field Assistants. Against the said orders of the Project Director, an appeal shall lie to the Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development. Accordingly, the petitioners preferred appeals, but so far, the appeals are not disposed of. Aggrieved thereby, these writ petitions are filed.
2. When the matters are taken up, both the learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri M. Chalapathi, as well as the learned Special Counsel for Mahathma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, Sri M.S.R. Chandra Murthy, agreed for disposal of the writ petitions with a direction to the Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, to dispose of the appeals filed by the petitioners against the orders of removal as Field Assistants.
3. Having regard to the said submissions, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petitions are disposed of directing the Commissioner, Panchayat Raj & Rural Development, to pass orders on the appeals filed by the petitioners against the orders of removal as Field Assistants passed by the Project Director, District Water Management Society, Prakasam District, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
