HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.1477 of 2009 ORDER:

This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed by the petitioners aggrieved over the inaction of the 1st respondent in not passing orders in the revision petition preferred by petitioners against the orders passed in CMA No.93/ 2005, dated 02.01.2009, by the 2nd respondent.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented by the learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare that while admitting the writ petition, this Court passed status quo order in the matter and that the said interim order can be continued till disposal of the revision and the revisional authority may be directed to dispose of the same in accordance with law.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is of the view that the writ petition can be disposed of with the following directions:

The 1st respondent - Revisional authority is directed to dispose of the revision preferred by the petitioners as expeditiously as possible, after giving an opportunity to the petitioners and the parties concerned. Till disposal of the revision, the status quo order passed on 30.01.2009 shall continue.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
