Heard.

In all these writ petitions, petitioners were aggrieved by the action of respondents in not releasing the vehicles seized in exercise of power vested in them under the A.P.Excise Act. 3.
This Court granted interim direction with conditions to release the vehicles.

Learned Government Pleader fairly submits that the confiscation proceedings are yet to be completed and vehicles are released in pursuant to the directions of this Court. He would further submit that in terms of the interim order the writ petitions may be disposed of giving liberty to the competent authority to continue the confiscation proceedings and to take further steps in accordance with the proceedings so finalized. 5.
In view of the said submission, all the Writ Petitions are disposed of making the interim order absolute. However, the confiscation proceedings may go on and further action as warranted by law against the petitioners shall be taken in accordance with the decision made in the confiscation proceedings. Pending miscellaneous petitions in these Writ Petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
