THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 18381 of 2019 O R D E R:

Petitioner asserts that his vehicle bearing No. TS 04 EM 5578 was seized by respondent No.3-Station House Officer, Khammam Rural Police Station, Khammam District on the ground of violation of the excise laws. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

As the vehicle of the petitioner was seized by respondent No.3 on the ground of violation of the excise laws, the petitioner is at liberty to submit an application before the Jurisdictional Deputy Commissioner under Section 34 of the Telangana Excise Act seeking release of the subject vehicle. Thereupon, the said authority shall consider and pass appropriate orders on such application within a period of one week from the date of receipt thereof.

Subject to the above, the writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall also stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. _________________________ CHALLA KODANDA RAM, J Dt:26.08.2019 kdl
