THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 18373 OF 2019 O R D E R:

In this Writ Petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to pay him ex gratia for the death of his spouse on 12.05.2018 due to hit by 'thunderbolt / lightening strike' as per G.O.Ms. No. 1 Revenue (D.M-I) Department, dated 04.05.2015. It is the case of the petitioner that he had also submitted the representation to the respondents on 25.03.2019. Learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Government Pleader for Revenue submit that in similar circumstances, this Court in Writ Petition No. 1799 of 2019 on 06.02.1999 had passed a detailed order, operative portion of which reads as under:

" The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of directing the District Collector, Khammam, the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2018 in terms of G.O.Ms.No. 1 dated 04.05.2015 and release the amount due to the petitioner expeditiously and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order". In view of the said order and for the reasons alike, this Writ Petition is also disposed of directing the 2nd respondent District Collector, Vikarabad to take appropriate action on the petitioner's representation dated 25.03.2019 in terms of G.O.Ms. No. 1, dated 04.05.2015 and release the amount due to him expeditiously, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
