When these matters are taken up, Sri M.S.Prasad, learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of Ms.S.Pranathi, learned counsel for the petitioners, submitted that the impugned demand notices are highly illegal, arbitrary, unreasonable and the impugned action is without jurisdiction. It is further submitted that the respondent authorities cannot insist for payment of property tax beyond three years and that the petitioners herein are charitable institutions and are entitled for exemption under the provisions of Section 202 of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955. It is also the submission of the learned Senior Counsel that the respondent authorities issued impugned notices, under the Municipalities Act, and the same is also illegal.

On the other hand, it is submitted by Sri Ancha Pandu Ranga Rao, learned Standing Counsel for Municipalities, appearing for the respondents, on instructions, that the respondent authorities will issue notices afresh and proceed in accordance with law. The said statement is recorded. Accordingly, Writ Petitions are allowed, setting aside the impugned notices, dated 01.03.2018. It is open for the

respondents to proceed in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions in these Writ Petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
