This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: " To declare the action of the respondents in issuing the proceedings in Lr.No.1378/ 2016/ A3-Pts, dated 19.05.2017, to effect promotions to the post of Panchayat Secretary Grade-III, with out preparation of final seniority list and not considering the case of the petitioners for promotion to the post of Panchayat Secretary Grade-III, as per Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Subordinate Service Rule, Vide G.O.Ms.No.84, dated 24.02.2010, and also contrary to Rule 18 of A.P.State and Subordinate service Rules, 1996 as illegal and arbitrary and contrary to Articles 14, 16 and 21 to the Constitution of India."

W.P.M.P.No.54056 of 2017 is filed by the petitioners requesting the Court to permit them to withdraw the writ petition. For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in W.P.M.P.No.54056 of 2017, permission as sought for is accorded and accordingly, W.P.M.P.No.54056 of 2017 is allowed. Consequently W.P.No.17228 of is dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions pending if any in this writ petition, stand closed.
