THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION NO.14508 OF 2015 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.

This Writ Petition is filed by 24 aggrieved students challenging the proceedings dated 06.05.2015 of the first respondent awarding punishment of cancellation of all papers of III year under graduate examination. The Flying Squad of the university came to the college fifteen minutes before the conclusion time of the examination and suspected mass copying. Thereafter, the answer scripts along with other material were seized from the petitioners and submitted before the Committee constituted in respect of candidates, who commit malpractices in the University examinations. The Committee submitted its report to the Vice Chancellor recommending cancellation of all papers of III year under graduate examination and permitting the petitioners to appear in the University Exams to be held in June/July 2015.

The report of the Committee was accepted by the Vice Chancellor. In view of the report of the body of persons, who have considered the case and submitted a report, which is accepted by the Vice Chancellor, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the decision taken by the Committee and approved by the Vice Chancellor in respect of the academic matter.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand dismissed.
