When this matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the writ petition against the 1st respondent was dismissed for default as per order dated 4.11.2011. Thereafter, the petitioner has not taken any steps to get the writ petition restored against the 1st respondent. In the absence of the contesting respondent, the writ petition cannot be adjudicated on merits. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
