THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI WRIT PETITION No.15926 of 2018 ORDER:

In this Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the only grievance of the writ petitioner is in respect of non-filing of a final report/charge sheet in case in Crime No.988 of 2017, registered, on 28.10.2017, i.e., about six (06) months back, on the file of the Station House Officer, Banjara Hills Police Station, Hyderabad/4th respondent herein, for the offence punishable under Section 376 of Indian Penal Code, 1860. 2.

I have heard the submissions of Sri M.Karuna Sagar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and of the learned Government Pleader for Home (Telangana), appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. I have perused the material record. 3.

At the hearing, learned Government Pleader for Home, on oral instructions, submits that the investigation has made considerable progress and that final report, either way, will be filed on receipt of report from the Expert of the Forensic Science Laboratory.

Learned counsel for the petitioner endorses the said submission.

Recording the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 4th respondent to file a final report, either way, as expeditiously as possible, by following the procedure established by law. There shall be no order as to costs.

MSRM, J W.P.No.15926 of 2018 Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
