THE HON'BLE JUSTICE G.SRI DEVI CRIMINAL PETITION No.5297 of 2019 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner/A2 seeking to quash the proceedings in COR.No.26 of 2016 dated 22.02.2016 on the file of the Prohibition and Excise Police Station, Yellareddy, registered for the offence under Section 37(a) of A.P. Excise Act, 1968.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/A2, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State and perused the record.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case and since the Crime which was sought to be quashed is of the year 2016, without going into the merits of the case, this Criminal Petition is disposed of directing the Police concerned to complete the investigation and submit the final report as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner by the Police till the filing of charge sheet. 4.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending in this criminal petition, shall stand closed.
