HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN Writ Petition No.20467 of 2011 ORDER:

Election for the Central Council for Indian Medicine, Andhra Pradesh was conducted on 20.07.2011 for the Department of Ayush, and on 30.07.2011 for the Department of Ayurveda. The term of office of the Central Council for Indian Medicine is for a period of five years, which expired in 2016 more than two years ago. It is evident, therefore, that the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court, and the Writ Petition has become infructuous.

The Writ Petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. The Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
