However, none of them have gotten themselves registered with Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, Warangal, to participate in the counselling for 'B' and 'C' category seats in these two courses. The petitioners in WP.No.17466 and 17467 of 2019 secured interim orders from this Court to enable them to get registered to participate in the II Phase counselling for 'B' and 'C' category seats but they admittedly failed to report within time. They therefore stand on par with the petitioners in the rest of the cases who did not take any steps whatsoever till date.
2.
We are informed by Sri A. Prabhakar Rao, learned standing counsel for the University, that after completion of the Mop-Up counselling for 'B' and 'C' category seats, 30 seats in category 'C', pertaining to NRI quota, are still left unfilled. He would further state that by 5 PM on 30.08.2019, the status of the left over seats, if any, in category 'B' would be known. Evidently, these seats would still be available as the last date for making admission to MBBS/ BDS courses is 31.08.2019. As it would be in the interest of the University and the colleges that no seats are left unfilled and as candidates are still available as on date, who are aspiring for such admission, we are of
the opinion that the petitioners may be given an opportunity, though there is delay on their part even in coming before this Court. The petitioners are therefore permitted to present themselves before the Registrar of the University by 2 PM on 30.08.2019 along with their original certificates. The University shall consider the candidature of all such petitioners who are found fit and eligible to be admitted in the left over 'B' and 'C' category seats, if any, and take steps accordingly. The University shall however ensure that the admissions are completed, in any event, by 31.08.2019. The University shall extend the same relief to other candidates, if any, who are similarly situated to the petitioners.
The writ petitions are accordingly disposed of.
Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed in the light of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ SANJAY KUMAR, J _____________ K. LAKSHMAN, J August 29, 2019 Not e: Furnish C.C. of the order today.
