When this matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation during the pendency of this writ petition. The petitioner filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to grant him long leave. No interim orders were passed by this Court earlier. Therefore, this Court is of the view that the cause in this writ petition does not survive.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
