Heard both sides. With the consent of both parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondent No.2 in not rectifying the petitioner's place of birth in passport bearing No.P4475936, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that an application is made before the passport authorities seeking change of place of birth by enclosing necessary documents, but the same is not considered till date.

Sri B.Narayana Reddy, learned Assistant Solicitor General, submits that if such an application is still pending consideration, the same will be considered in accordance with law.

Having regard to the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner, which was submitted at Passport Seva Kendra, Tolichowki, Hyderabad, vide token No.522, dated 02.02.2017, File No.HY3079945290517, in accordance with law, at the earliest. No costs.

As a sequel thereto, Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
