The petitioner questions the action of the respondents in disconnecting power supply to Service Connection bearing Connection Service No. 51-01-36725 with Meter No.AP016533 pertaining to its Theatre.

Heard.

Prima facie, the disconnection of power supply to the petitioner's Theatre is in violation of Section 56 of the Electricity Act, 2003, as admittedly no notice, as such, has been given by the respondents. In that view of the matter, the respondents are directed to restore power supply to the petitioner. However, the said direction shall not preclude the respondents from taking appropriate action for collection of alleged dues from the petitioner, which shall be subject to the rights of the petitioner to dispute and contest the same in accordance with law.
