HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO CONTEMPT CASE No.290 OF 2017 ORDER:

This contempt case is filed alleging non-implementation of the order dated 10.08.2016 passed in W.P.No.4691 of 2014, directing the respondents to take the qualifications into account and consider the case of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders with regard to the candidature of the writ petitioner for recruitment to the post of Assistant Manager (HR). It is also stated that if there is any vacancy immediately available, necessary steps shall be taken to fill it up duly considering the case of the petitioner along with other eligible and suitable employees possessing the same or similar qualifications. Now the order is passed on 24.07.2017. It is stated that the case of the petitioner is not identical to the case of the petitioner in W.P.No.24640 of 2011, on the basis of which the above order was passed.

With regard to filling up of the vacancies, it is stated that it provides for three modes of recruitment i.e., by way of direct recruitment, appointment by transfer and promotion. The A.P., Genco, at present intends to take up the recruitment process and, as and when recruitment takes place, the case of the petitioner would be considered as per the Notification. In view of the same, it is open to the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law if the petitioner is aggrieved. In the circumstances, the present contempt case is accordingly closed.
