This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking to quash the order of attachment, dated 08.12.2016, passed by the learned Principal Judicial First Class Magistrate, Mahabubabad, in Crl.M.P.No.242 of 2015 in M.C.No.2 of 2014.

Though the present Criminal Petition is filed for quashing of the aforesaid order, at the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking to extend the time granted by the Court below for paying the arrears of the maintenance amount to respondent No.2. 3.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the record. 4.
Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to pay the arrears of maintenance totalling to Rs.1,25,000/- (Rupees One lakh twenty five thousand only) to respondent No.2 within a period of six weeks from today. The impugned order of attachment is suspended for a period of six weeks only. 5.
The Criminal Petition is accordingly disposed of. 6.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
