HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. SHANKAR NARAYANA CRIMINAL PETITION No.3404 OF 2017 ORDER:

The only request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Ch. Siddhartha Sarma, in the present Criminal Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short 'Code'), is to direct the learned Additional Junior Civil Judge - cum - Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Bapatla, to pass orders in Criminal M.P. No.1454 of 2016 in Crime No.1 of 2016.

2. The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the learned Magistrate has reserved the matter for orders on 23.12.2016 and though, four (4) months period is over, still, orders are not yet passed.

3. If, what is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner is true, since the learned counsel is placing reliance on the ruling in Anil Rai v. State of Bihar1, the learned Magistrate is directed to dispose of Criminal M.P. No.1454 of 2016 in Crime No.1 of 2016, as expeditiously as possible, but not later than a month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, the Criminal Petition is disposed of, at the admission stage itself.
