THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.5122 OF 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not making payment of additional exgratia of Rs.5,00,000/ - in lieu of employment under G.O.Ms. No.50, dated 21.02.2014, to the petitioners, who are the victims of extremist violence, as illegal and arbitrary, and consequently, direct the respondents to pay additional exgratia to the petitioners. It is the contention of the petitioners that they are eligible for the benefits notified in terms of G.O.Ms. No.50, dated 21.02.2014, and when they made several representations to the respondents, the same were not being considered and being disposed of.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners would make a fresh representation and this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to consider the same in accordance with law. Considering the innocuous prayer which the petitioners seek, the petitioners are permitted to file a fresh representation to the respondents, and as and when the representation is made by the petitioners, the respondents are directed to consider the same strictly in accordance with law and in compliance of the relevant G.O., within a period of (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

As a sequel to disposal of the writ petition, Miscellaneous petition pending if any, shall stand closed.
