THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 25828 of 2002 ORDER:
This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief: " ... to issue a writ, order or direction more in the nature of Mandamus declaring that the petitioners are entitled for regular absorption as L.D.C/ Typists on the basis of qualifications and experience possessed by them in the 50% quota earmarked in initial cadres as per B.P.Ms.No.37 dated 18.5.1997 in the existing vacancies as per the policy laid down by the A.P. Transco pursuant to the notification dated 28.4.2001 issued by the Superintending Engineer, Operation Circle, Northern Power Distribution company, A.P.
Limited, Nizamabad with all consequential benefits by holding the action of the respondents in not considering the case of the petitioners for absorption as L.D.C./ Typist in the existing vacancies without any valid reasons or jurisdiction even though the petitioners have fulfilled all the conditions stipulated in the Notification and besides submitted all the necessary documents along with their applications in May, 2001 itself within the stipulated time while considering ineligible persons is as illegal, arbitrary, discriminatory and subversive of Articles 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution and also opposed to all cannons of equity, justice and fair play and pass such other order or orders."
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners are seeking regularization of their services in terms of B.P.(P&G.Per) Ms.No.37 dated 18.5.1997. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submitted that since B.P.(P&G.Per)Ms.No.37 dated
18.5.1997 was withdrawn by the respondents, no relief can be granted to the petitioners.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.
