HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No. 17253 of 2002 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not allowing him to appear for written test/interview for selection and appointment to the post of Regular Part Time Sweeper, as illegal and arbitrary. A consequential direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for selection and appointment to the post of Regular Part Time Sweeper without insisting that the petitioner's name should be sponsored by the Employment Exchange, is also sought.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is noticed that on 09.09.2002, while admitting the writ petition, this Court passed an interim order directing the 1st respondent to permit the petitioner to appear for written test/interview for selection and appointment to the post of Regular Part Time Sweeper. In view of the same, no further orders are necessary in the writ petition. Therefore, the writ petition is closed.
