HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.4232 of 2011 ORDER:

The Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of respondent No.1 (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) in digging the entire road from Gulzar House to Charminar for the purpose of extension of pedestrian area under the project of Pedestrainisation of Charminar surroundings.

In the counter filed by the Executive Engineer, Project Division SZ-1, GHMC, it has been categorically stated that development work has already been taken up and completed by 2016; as on date there are no obstructions either to the visitors or traders at the above route; and a photograph, showing laying of cobble pavement from Charminar to Gulzar House, is also enclosed.

Having heard the respective counsel and, on account of the subsequent development, the purpose for which writ petition has been filed has been served, no further orders are required to be passed in the writ petition. The Writ Petition is, accordingly, closed.

Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, in the writ petitions shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
