ORDER

This petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed by the petitioner/accused seeking to quash the proceedings in Cr.No.19 of 2016 of Kothur Police Station, Mahabubnagar District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 474, 468, 420 and 506 IPC, against him.

2. It is alleged in the complaint that the accused having executed a promissory note on 10.06.2008 for a sum of Rs.6,00,000/- in favour of the de facto complainant failed to repay the same, for which a civil suit is pending between them and thereafter, the accused also filed a suit before the civil Court against the de facto complainant by fabricating the promissory note, thereby cheated him.

3. In view of the allegations made against the petitioner in the complaint, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the impugned proceedings. However, the concerned police are directed to complete the investigation without making arrest of the petitioner/accused and file a final report, if any, in accordance with law.

4. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this criminal petition shall stand closed.
