THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SMT JUSTICE KONGARA VIJAYA LAKSHMI Writ Petition No.16355 of 2018 Order: (Per the Hon'ble The Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) The petitioner studied throughout within the State of Telangana, except for having undergone his MBBS Course at Stanley Medical College, Chennai. It is his case that his parents are also residing in Nirmal District of Telangana, and fulfil the requirement of Para-11 of GOP No. 646 dated 10.7.1979.

While both Smt. P.K. Kalyani, learned counsel for the petitioner, and Sri A. Prabhakar Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, would agree that the subject matter of this Writ Petition is covered by our order in W.P. No. 9829 of 2018 and batch dated 9.4.2018, Sri A. Prabhakar Rao, learned Standing Counsel, would submit that the second phase of counselling is scheduled to commence tomorrow, and it is only if the petitioner submits an application to the University on or before 5.00 p.m. today and his Certificates are verified, to enable the University to satisfy itself that he is entitled to be considered under the 15% un-reserved category in terms of para-11 of GOP No. 646 dated 10.7.

1979, will he be entitled to participate in the counselling scheduled to be held tomorrow for admission into Post Graduate Medical seats under the 15% un-reserved category. While Mrs. P.K. Kalyani, learned counsel for the petitioner, would express apprehension of whether or not the petitioner's application would be entertained, since the petitioner's request to receive his application was not entertained by the respondent-officials, we see no reason to dwell on this issue any further as Sri A. Prabhakar Rao, learned Standing Counsel, would assure us that he would intimate the Registrar of the University that, in case the petitioner approaches him, before 5.00 p.m.

application would be considered; and, if he is found eligible, he would be permitted to participate in the Counselling scheduled to be held tomorrow. Recording the submission of Sri A. Prabhakar Rao, learned Standing Counsel for the Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent-University to consider the petitioner's case for admission into Post Graduate Medical seats, under the 15% un-reserved category, provided he satisfies the requirements of para-11 of GOP No. 646 dated 10.7.1979. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
