.....Respondents The Court made the following:
THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION NO.18953 OF 2019 ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing counsel for respondents.
2.
Petitioner is an existing contract employee and he participated in the selections conducted by the Telangana State Northern Power Distribution Company Limited to the post of Junior Lineman, in the year 2018. Petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste category. This writ petition is filed alleging that even though petitioner secured good marks and he is within the selection zone in the scheduled caste category, he is not called for pole climbing test and the same is illegal. Ex.P.2 is the marks sheet. The marks sheet would disclose that petitioner secured 26 marks and secured 13226 rank.
3.
According to learned Standing counsel, on instructions, petitioner secured only 26 marks whereas, the cut off mark for scheduled caste category requiring eligibility to call for pole climbing test was 31 and as petitioner did not secure cut off mark, he was not called for pole climbing test.
4.
Having regard to the above statement which is taken on record, the decision of the respondents in not calling the petitioner for further selection process, i.e., pole climbing test, cannot be faulted.
5.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed.
Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed.
