HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE A. RAMALI NGESWARA RAO Writ Petition No. 2900 of 2016 Order:

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the action of the respondents 1 to 3 in continuing the unofficial respondent and his team as office bearers of Indian Navy Civil Employee Union without holding any elections.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the three years period was over long back and no elections were conducted. In the circumstances, he wants to withdraw the Writ Petition with liberty to take appropriate proceedings before the competent authority for holding the elections.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn granting liberty to the petitioners to take appropriate proceedings before the competent authority for holding the elections. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
