THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.13034 OF 2016

O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioners in this case is with regard to the inaction on the part of the Ramagundam Municipal Corporation in renewing the licences for their shops for the year 2016-17. Smt. Bhagyasri, learned standing counsel for the respondent Corporation, states that the applications filed by the petitioners seeking renewal are pending consideration.

In that view of the matter, it is for the authority concerned to apply its mind to the said applications and take a decision thereon in accordance with law. No cause is made out for interference by this Court at this stage.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of directing the Ramagundam Municipal Corporation to consider the petitioners' applications dated 01.04.2016 whereby they sought renewal of their shop licences for the year 2016-17 on their own merits and in accordance with law, and take a decision thereon. In the event the petitioners' request for such renewal is refused, the reasons therefor shall be recorded and duly communicated to them. This exercise shall be completed expeditiously and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs. ______________________ SANJAY KUMAR, J 20th APRIL, 2016 PGS
