This writ petition was filed assailing the auction notice dated 14.06.2012 issued by the Mines and Geology Department, Rajahmundry, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

No interim orders were passed in the writ petition. The impugned auction notice demonstrates that it pertained to grant of quarrying rights in respect of sand up to 10.06.2013. As the lease period

contemplated under the impugned auction notice has already expired, the issues raised in this writ petition have become purely academic. The writ petition is therefore dismissed on this short ground. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand dismissed. No order as to costs.
