HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI CONTEMPT CASE No.1177 of 2011 ORDER:

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the order of this Court has been complied with and the petitioner was paid an amount of Rs.7,00,000/ - and odd vide proceeding dated 09.09.2015. However, the respondents have not considered the period of 36 months 19 days, for which the petitioner has worked.

This Court is of the considered view that since the scope of contempt is limited, the issue whether the petitioner has worked for 36 months 19 days cannot be adjudicated in this Contempt Case. Hence, the Contempt Case is closed. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the order dated 09.09.2015, she is at liberty to challenge the same.
