HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE R.SUBHASH REDDY AND HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.SHANKAR NARAYANA WRIT PETITION No.22474 of 2015 ORDER : (per Hon'ble Sri Justice R.Subhash Reddy) The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking Mandamus to direct the respondent authorities to adopt the same priorities as notified by the Government vide G.O.Ms.No.23, Higher Education (EC.A2) Department, dated 19.06.2015, to fill up the seats reserved for National Cadet Corps (NCC) category for admission into MBBS/BDS courses.

2. For admission into medical courses in the State of Andhra Pradesh, there is 1% reservation for the candidates belonging to NCC category. In view of the recommendations made by the NCC Directorate, the priorities are notified vide orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.23, Higher Education (EC.A2) Department, dated 19.06.2015. In this writ petition, it is the grievance of the petitioner that though the priorities notified in the said G.O., are followed for the purpose of admission into Engineering courses, the same is not being followed for admission into medical courses.

3. When the matter is called for hearing, it is represented by the learned Government Pleader for Medical Health and Family Welfare that the priorities notified in G.O.Ms.No.23,

Higher Education (EC.A2) Department, dated 19.06.2015, are being followed to fill up the seats reserved for National Cadet Corps category for admission into medical courses also.

4. In view of the same, placing the said statement of the learned Government Pleader on record, this writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs. ____________________________ JUSTICE R.
