The grievance of the petitioner was that the respondents were not fixing her pension in accordance with the PRC 1993 and as per G.O.Ms.No.38, Social Welfare (RS.1) Department, dated 22.03.2001. A consequential direction was sought to the respondents to take necessary action in this regard.

While so, WPMP.No.37417 of 2015 was filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to consider her representation dated 19.08.2014 and to release pension, gratuity and other monetary benefits to her.

As the petitioner has now made a representation under her letter dated 19.08.2014, it is for the respondent authorities to consider the same in accordance with law and pass appropriate reasoned orders thereon. Sri Umashankar Lokanadham, learned counsel appearing for the second respondent, is also agreeable to this course of action. Keeping the matter pending on the file of this Court therefore serves no purpose.

The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.08.2014 in accordance with the Rules and pass appropriate reasoned orders thereon. An opportunity of hearing may also be afforded to the petitioner before a final decision is taken. The said exercise shall be completed expeditiously and in any event, not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
