THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITION No.19096 of 2019 ORDER:

This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is filed seeking to declare the action of respondent No.3 in frequently calling the petitioners to police station and detaining them for long hours, without registering any crime, as arbitrary and illegal and consequently, direct respondent No.3 to restrain from taking any coercive steps against the petitioners without following due process of law.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for the respondents.

Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home produced written instructions, wherein it is stated that no case is registered against the petitioners in the subject police station. The other averments made in the petition are denied.

Recording the same, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent/police not to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioners, except in accordance with law.
