When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is noticed that at the time of filing of the writ petition, the age of the petitioner was 41 years and now she is aged 57 years. At this stage, the question of considering the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment would not arise. Hence, the cause in the writ petition does not survive. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the writ petition shall stand closed.
