THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE SATISH CHANDRA SHARMA AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT APPEAL Nos.455 and 552 of 2020 COMMON JUDGMENT: (Per the Hon'ble the Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma) The present writ appeals are arising out of order dated 18.10.2019 passed in I.A.No.1 of 2019 in I.A.No.1 of 2019 in W.P.No.5819 of and I.A.No.1 of in WPMP.No.44322 of 2017 (I.A.No.1 of 2017) in W.P.No.35664 of 2017 respectively by the learned Single Judge. The learned Single Judge has directed the respondent State to pay minimum of the pay scales to the writ petitioners, who are daily wage workers, keeping in view the judgment delivered in the case of State of Punjab and others vs. Jagit Singh and others1.
Learned counsel for the parties have fairly stated before this Court that the writ petitions are still pending before the learned Single Judge and the learned Single Judge be requested to decide the writ petitions at an early date. Resultantly, without averting to the merits of the case, the writ appeals are disposed of and the learned Single Judge is requested to decide the writ petitions at an early date. Office is directed to list W.P.Nos.5819 of 2018 and 35664 of 2017 before the leaned Single Judge having the 1 (2017) 1 SCC 148
roster on 07.02.2022 on which date the parties shall appear before the learned Single Judge.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
