THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 19142 of 2019 O R D E R:

Petitioner asserts that he is an ex-serviceman and submitted an Application, dated 04.02.2014, to respondent No.2-District Collector, Nagarkurnool for assignment of land in terms of G.O.Ms.No.743, dated 30.04.1963; that the Zilla Sainik Welfare Officer addressed letter dated 10.02.2014 to respondent No.2 to consider his case for assignment, and with regard to the same, respondent No.4 also addressed a letter dated 31.07.2017 to respondent No.2 and that no decision has been taken thereon so far. In the circumstances, the petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to assign the land in his favour. Learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents would submit that the case of the petitioner is under consideration and necessary action would be taken in accordance with law.

Having regard to the facts of the present case, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondents to consider the Application of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon expeditiously, preferably within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
