ORDER

This criminal petition is filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the Station House Officer, Kusumanchi Police Station, Khammam District, for release of stocks i.e., 58 bags of black jaggery consists of 2900 Kgs and 260 Kgs of alum, seized in connection with Cr.No.322 of 2013 of Kusumanchi Police Station, Khammam District, registered for the offence under Section 7(a) r/w 8(e) of A.P.Prohibition Act, 1995 and under Section 34(e) of A.P.Excise Act, 1968, in favour of petitioner. As per the provisions of A.P.Prohibition Act, 1995, the Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise is competent to pass an order for release of the property involved in the crime. Therefore, granting leave to the petitioner to file appropriate application before the Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in the criminal petition, shall stand dismissed.
