HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT Writ Petition No.30158 of 2016 ORDER:

Vide present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction, thereby directing the respondents to furnish particulars of levy given by the 2nd respondent to the 4th respondent through the 3rd respondent from 1995 to March, 2016 and its usage.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that with aforesaid relief, he served legal notice dated 07.08.2016 on the respondents 2 to 4, however, till date, they have not taken any decision thereon.

3. Notice issued to the respondents and Sri B. Narayana Reddy, Assistant Solicitor General, accepted the notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Smt. Umadevi, learned standing counsel for the Visakhapatnam Port Trust, accepted the notice on behalf of respondents 2 and 3. The standing counsel for the Port Trust submits that the legal notice issued on behalf of the petitioners will be considered within four weeks.

4. Keeping in view of the averments made in the writ petition and the statement made by the learned standing counsel for the Visakhapatnam Port Trust, I hereby direct the respondents to consider the legal notice dated 07.08.2016 issued on behalf of the petitioners, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. In view of the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, in this petition, shall stand closed.
