HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No. 18881 of 2016 ORDER:

The grievance of the petitioner is that even though he had submitted a renewal application to the respondentauthorities seeking renewal of his fair price shop authorization on 14.03.2016, no final orders are passed so far. In the earlier occasion the fair price shop authorization was cancelled and the petitioner filed an appeal before the competent authority and which came to be dismissed and a revision was also dismissed and as against the same, the petitioner filed a writ petition before this Court and this Court had granted interim suspension and consequently a vacate stay petition was filed and the same was also dismissed by this Court on 11.6.2015 and the said writ petition is pending.

The petitioner was continued to be issued with scheduled commodities for distribution but without renewing the license though he had been paying the renewal fees through the challans dated 24.3.2015 and 25.3.2015. Having considered the respectful submissions of the learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies and inasmuch as a decision is required to be taken by the 3rd respondent on the renewal application, there shall be a direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the renewal application of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the renewal application of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order. No order as to costs.
