THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE G. SHYAM PRASAD WRIT PETITION No. 37735 of 2013 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed for a mandamus to declare the action of the respondents in not considering the representation of the petitioners, dated 23.05.2013, for grant of independent 49 HP electricity service connections, as illegal and arbitrary, and also for a direction to the 2nd respondent to provide independent electricity service connections to the petitioners 2 to 4. 2.

Heard Mr. C. Raghu, learned counsel for the petitioners, and Mr. R. Vinod Reddy, learned standing counsel for A.P.C.P.D.C.L., appearing for the respondents, and perused the material on record. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that due to a dispute among the petitioners in respect of the existing electricity service connection, they made a representation to the 2nd respondent on 23.05.2013, seeking to give separate service connections to the petitioners 2 to 4, by providing 49 HP load each, but the 2nd respondent has not taken any action so far, though they have already deposited an amount of Rs.4.00 lakhs as security deposit, at the time of obtaining 150 HP service connection.

4.

Learned standing counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioners have to approach the Integrated Customer Service Center for dismantling their existing service connection and apply for new service connections.

5.

On consideration of the submission of the learned standing counsel for the respondents, it is obvious that by way of an application, the petitioners have to approach the Integrated Customer Service Center for dismantling their existing service connection and apply for new service connections in its place. 6.

In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of, leaving it open for the petitioners to approach the Integrated Customer Service Center for dismantling their original service connection and apply for new service connections in its place. On filing of such an application, the respondents shall consider the same and take appropriate action, as per the General Terms and Conditions of Supply. Consequently, miscellaneous petitions if any pending in the writ petition shall stand dismissed. No order as to costs. _____________________ G. SHYAM PRASAD, J 23rd December, 2016 cbs
