THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P.NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.16721 of 2018 ORDER :

This writ petition is filed challenging continuing the petitioner under suspension from service, pursuant to order dated 02.06.2017. Petitioner seeks review of his suspension in accordance with administrative decision made by the Government and notified vide G.O.Ms.No.86, General Administration (Ser.C) Department dated 08.03.1994.

When the matter is taken up, learned Standing counsel for the State Wakf Board, on instructions, submit that enquiry is completed; enquiry officer submitted his report and the matter is pending consideration of the Wakf Board and Wakf Board is likely to take decision within few weeks.

Since enquiry is already completed and report is submitted, at this stage, the Court is not inclined to grant the relief of review of suspension. However, as the enquiry is already completed and the matter is pending consideration by the Wakf Board, the State Wakf Board is directed to finalize the disciplinary proceedings, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
