Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

Aggrieved by the proceedings of the District Collector, Karimnagar District, dated 20.07.2018, imposing punishment of stoppage of three annual grade increments without cumulative effect, petitioner preferred appeal before the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA). It appears, on 20.09.2018, the CCLA called for information from the office of the Collector in response to the appeal preferred by the petitioner. Petitioner claims that there is no further progress on the appeal preferred, whereas promotions are now being taken up.

Since the appeal was already preferred by the petitioner and the same is pending consideration of the appellate authority, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the CCLA to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner and pass orders as expeditiously as possible preferably within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
