THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.19287 of 2019 ORDER:

In this writ petition, petitioner complains non-compliance of Section 20(5) of the Chit Funds Act, 1982, read with Rule 24(1) of the Andhra Pradesh Chit Funds Rules, 2008, as adopted by the State of Telangana, by the first respondent - Assistant Registrar of Chits, Golconda, Hyderabad, in returning the security amount with respect to the chit group/series i.e., PS/CAR No.377 of 2015.

It is the case of the petitioner that though notice was issued calling for its objections on 10.07.2019, no further action is being taken by the first respondent.

It is to be noted that after issuance of notice calling for objections, the Registrar is required to pass appropriate orders refunding the security amount within 14 days. Learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for respondents, on instructions, would assert that having received certain objections, the first respondent is in the process of considering the same, and this Court may issue necessary directions to the first respondent to that effect.

CKR, J W.P.No.19287 of 2019 In those circumstances, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the first respondent to pass orders in terms of Section 20(5) of the aforesaid Act read with Rule 24(1) of the aforesaid Rules, within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
