This writ petition is filed, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the following relief: "to issue a Writ of Mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, declaring the action of the 2nd respondent in sanctioning work relating to de-silting of drinking water tank in the Modalavalasa Village, Ponduru Mandal, Srikakulam District, existing in Sy.No.12, vide Work Identification No.
010180923027170073 though the said tank is a private tank owned by the petitioners and their family members, as illegal, arbitrary and without jurisdiction and set aside the same."

When the matter is called, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that for redressal of the grievance of the petitioners, petitioners herein submitted a representation on 24.01.2017 to the District Collector/District Programme OfficerMGNREGS, Srikakulam District and the same was acknowledged by the respondents on 24.01.2017 and also a request is made by the learned counsel for the petitioners that the said representation may be directed to be disposed of by the respondents as per law. 3.
On the otherhand, it is submitted by the learned Government Pleaders for Revenue and Panchayat Raj, appearing for the respondents, submitted that the said representation will be considered as per law.

Recording the said submission, this writ petition is disposed of, without expressing any opinion on the merits and demerits of the matter, directing the District Collector - 2nd respondent herein to take appropriate action on the representation dated 24.01.2017, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
